The Henna paste I use to create the designs come from a mixture of the Henna plant, lemon juice, sugar, and essential oils. It stains the skin for a few weeks depending on aftercare. Exfoliating before (can be added to the henna service) can increase the stain time. I can do large pieces covering multiple areas of the body or provide smaller, quicker designs for larger events. For the little ones, hearts, flowers, and stars make a wonderful treat.

*Add nail polish to the event to add a splash of color and shine to hand and feet designs.

*Add foot and hand massage with exfoliation to make this a truly delightful experience.

Enjoy Your Henna!

Henna is different for everyone, your skin type, i.e. complexion, dryness, oiliness, etc. will all influence your design along with the current environment, henna crop, and placement on your body.

  1. Leave your henna on 6 – 12 hours for the best results.
  2. If it cracks and falls off on its own, don’t worry but don’t help it.
  3. Don’t wash with off with water, either flake off or use a vegetable oil to remove.
  4. Heat will help the henna stain darker
  5. Avoid wetting design for the first 24 to 48 hours if possible.
  6. Moisturize twice a day.
  7. Apply natural oil such as olive oil, before and after showering or swimming to help protect the design.
  8. Avoid friction.
  9. Design will go from paste, to orange, darken to brown over the next 72 hours, and then gradually fade.
  10. The design generally lasts between 7 days and three weeks.
  11. A henna stain cannot be removed but doing the opposite of these suggestions can quicken the fading process
  12. Ingredients: henna powder, lemon juice, sugar, cajuput oil, and lavender oil.
